Asian Institute of engineering Gandhinagar (also known as IITGN ), located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, is the National association of college education announced to be the association of National Importance by Government of India. It is one of those eight recent Asian Institutes of engineering (IITs ) instituted by the Ministry of Human Resource growth, administration of India under these Institutes of engineering (Amendment ) Act, 2011. IITGN falls under the brand-cluster of sixteen Asian Institutes of engineering separated by this Ministry of Human Resource growth. This deed was passed at this Lok Sabha on 24 March 2011 and by this Rajya Sabha on 30 Apr 2012. IIT Gandhinagar was instituted in 2008 together with seven different recent IITs. The association began its operations at its temporary field in Vishwakarma Government Engineering College, Chandkheda. This association has been mentored by Asian association of Technology Bombay since 2008. The first batch of students were accepted in material technology.
